Whittier Street Redevelopment Receives Funding from City of Boston

POAH and Madison Park Development Corporation's plans for an 88-unit mixed-use development as the first phase of an innovative redevelopment of the Whittier Street public housing development is among the projects funded by the City of Boston.

The Whittier Choice Neighborhoods initiative (CNI) is a collaboration between POAH, Madison Park Development Corporation and the Boston Housing Authority, to redevelop the Whittier Street Apartments site in Roxbury.  Originally built in the early 1950s, Whittier is home to 200 public housing families.  Whittier CNI proposes to fully redevelop the site and rebuild over 350 units of mixed-income housing, and commercial space. Read more
