Yongmei is the Senior Vice President and Team Leader of the Community Development Lending Group in Eastern Bank. With over 25 years of experiences in banking, Yongmei is specialized in lending to non-profit organizations, particularly to affordable housing and economic revitalization projects. Yongmei is one of the co-chairs of the Asian American Employee Network at Eastern Bank and also serves as a member of the Bank’s DEI committee.
As a first-generation immigrant, Yongmei is passionate about DEIB issues and English language access for adult learners. Yongmei currently serves as the Treasurer of English for New Bostonians and is one of the co-chairs that launched the “Celebrating 20,000 New Voices” campaign to raise funds for ESOL training. Yongmei also serves on the Executive Committee of Asian Community Development Corporation, a member of the Board of Directors at Metro Housing Boston, and a member of the New Markets Tax Credit Advisory Board of the Massachusetts Housing Investment Corporation.
Yongmei is a graduate of the Isenberg School of Management at University of Massachusetts Amherst.
