Cape View Way 40B Project Seeking CPC Funding In Bourne
The Enterprise Bourne story
The Bourne Community Preservation Committee has taken under advisement a request to fund a housing project in Sagamore Beach. The proponents have submitted a request for $185,000 in Community Preservation Act funds.
The housing complex is to be built on Cape View Way in Sagamore Beach, directly behind the strip mall on Meetinghouse Lane and the Bourne Fire Department headquarters. The project was recently given a thumbs-up by the Bourne Zoning Board of Appeals after months of negotiations and hearings.
The apartment complex is co-sponsored by the Housing Assistance Corporation (HAC) and Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH). David Quinn, director of housing for HAC, and Cory Fellows, vice president for real estate development for POAH, spoke to the committee during its remote meeting on Wednesday, March 9.
