BILLINGS FORGE: Hartford, CT a 112-unit, 43% Section 8 family apartment property located in Hartford’s Frog Hollow Neighborhood near the State Capitol. Billings Forge comprises of a historic mill building containing 95 apartments, as well as several smaller buildings located on the adjacent block which collectively house another 17 families.
The rehabilitation of the property will include full window replacement, the modernization of the main building’s long-defunct elevator, corridor ventilation, replacement of all sub-standard kitchens and baths, upgraded life safety systems, and common-area improvements. All renovations to the main mill building will comply with historic preservation requirements for windows, masonry and other details.
