The redevelopment of the former Governor Prence Inn in Orleans has reached a major milestone. The town manager issued an award letter that allowed the transformation of the 5.5-acre site near the intersection of Route 6A and Route 28 into affordable housing — by Housing Assistance Corporation, Preservation of Affordable Housing, and Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod
...POAH Senior Vice President Acquisitions Julie Creamer said the nonprofit looks forward to creating "a well-integrated community that will provide affordable rental and homeownership opportunities for up to 80 Orleans households across the income spectrum."
"Since 2009, POAH and Housing Assistance have jointly developed nine successful affordable communities on the Cape, collectively creating over 600 homes in the region…The Governor Prence project is another opportunity to create a vibrant, attractive residential community that will serve Cape Cod residents for decades to come," said Creamer in a statement.
